During Winter 2021 Jayne Clarke & the staff at Goldylocks hairdressers in Halewood Village raffled a gorgeous, amazing hamper off from the shop to their regular customers. The staff raised an amazing amount of money for the foundation with this simple yet effective money raising technique! This is amazingly the FOURTH time Jayne has done a hamper raffle and just one of the Clarke families many fundraisers. They raised an AMAZING amount of money from their loyal customers once again!
We can't thank the family enough for being regular supporters of the Megan Hurley Foundation. You will notice in the shop window the signature Megan Hurley Foundation collection bucket. These have been placed in multiple businesses in & around Halewood, making it easier for people to donate on the go, so be sure to keep your eyes pealed! You can find the boxes in places such as Goldylocks, Scrumptious, The Brunch Box, The Makeover Room, Bubble & many more companies that have chosen to support our charity. Staff were awarded their own 'Megan Hurley pin' for taking part in fundraising for our charity. Thank you all so much.
Due to the success of last years Christmas Card, we were so excited to announce the 2021 Christmas Card, designed by the talented Lewis Meacock. Due to the popular demand last year we ordered double the stock & are so happy that we have been able to SELL OUT just in time for Christmas! Thank you to everyone who ordered, we hope you & yours love them as much as we do. All proceeds go to the Megan Hurley Foundation, helping us to help others. This years incredible artwork featured a stunning Christmas scene, Santa’s house is aglow, lit by the burning log-fire with little nods to The Megan Hurley Foundation featured around the room, our charity pin-badge can be spotted on a sparkling orange bauble in the foreground, hanging upon the luminous Christmas Tree - whilst last years card sits on the fireplace next to a stocking stitched with a letter ‘M’ in the background. The scene was imagined & hand drawn by the talented Lewis Meacock who also designed last years card.

Simon Clifton, who's daughter was in the same class as Megan in Halewood Academy last month completed a mammoth 989 miles and 55,000ft Elevation in from Lands End to John O'Groats, taking on England, Wales and Scotland starting on Saturday 4th and finishing on Sunday 12th September 2021.
He completed the incredible challenge in 9 days and raised a staggering total of £11,006. Simon told the ECHO: "My daughter was in the same class as Megan, so this means a lot to us. The school were very good with the kids when the tragedy happened. Megan was a bright and caring young woman. Those who were privileged enough to know her remember a beautiful and loving girl with strong values and a love of family. She is deeply missed by all, and especially her parents Mike and Jo and her brother Brad." We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for continuing to support the charity, keeping Megan's name alive. An unbelievable fundraiser took place on this years anniversary, as Alex, Ollie & Rory cycled for a full day, completing 100 miles of cycling which included over 10,000 ft of climbing. Here is what they had to say about their experience:
At 4:00am on the 22nd May alarms went off, coffee was inhaled and we (together with Alex's brother Rory) dragged ourselves to the start line in Winchester. In the lead up it had rained almost constantly, and turned much of the route into a boggy quagmire. 16 hours later we arrived in Eastbourne in the dark, severely tested but not broken. The weather and heavy conditions had been just as difficult as we had feared, and at times made it seem like there was no prospect we could finish. What drove us to continue was the memory of Megan and all of the 22, together with the incredibly generous support you each gave to us. You kept us going when it seemed impossible, and got us safely to the end. Even more importantly, on the anniversary of the Arena attack and what is their most difficult day you showed the Hurleys and the rest of the Arena families that even the immense evil they have suffered is entirely outweighed by the kindness and support of the good people in the world. I know that made a very significant difference to them, as it certainly did to us. Alex, Oli and Rory x Such an amazing thing to do, well done for completing the South Down's Way challenge and thank you for raising such an astronomical amount for our charity. Each of them has been awarded their own Megan Hurley Foundation pin-badge, to find out how you can get involved by starting your own fundraising & have the chance to get your very own 'Megan Hurley pin' then please click here. Thank you & well done Ellie! You may remember her amazing acrylic work from her light-up bee keyring she made in April
