Last week we were lucky enough to be invited into the Getrag plant in Halewood, Tracy Blundell put The Megan Hurley Foundation forward to receive this amazing £600 grant from Getrag & Halewood Transmission Shopfloor Charities, each month employee's in the plant opt to have a portion of their wages set aside for an annual, local charity, grant awarding, raising incredible amounts every year to be shared among the chosen charities. Thanks to Tracy's recommendation we were able to be a part of it in 2019 & receive this incredible amount, huge thank you to Tracy & all at Getrag & Halewood Transmission Shopfloor Charities for letting us be a part of this.
In May, we gave a special shoutout to Clifford Blundell, Tracy's brother, who couldn’t be there for our charity bike-ride as he was on holiday, yet still completed the 32 mile cycle in Turkey! Clifford also supplied the cyclists stunning yellow sweaters. Huge thanks to Tracy & Clifford for continuing the support The Megan Hurley Foundation will aim to provide initial short-term help and support to self-employed families, unable to attend work (and therefore no income), due to the sudden and unexpected loss of a child.
