Tracy and Chloe from The Makeover Room in Gatacre Village reached out to The Megan Hurley Foundation last year about doing a makeover masterclass in order to raise money for The Megan Hurley Foundation. The company is hugely popular In the local community, specialising in all types of beauty, make-up, hair & nails, and many may not realise but all of the incredible hair, nail & make-up artists inside fall into the self-employed category.
The masterclass took place on Sunday, January 13th and was an astounding success. The team raised an amazing amount of money for our foundation, the day entailed two amazing tutorials, one make-up and one for nails, hosted both by Tracy and Chloe & was the first make-up master class owner, Tracy, had done! Each of the girls who attended were gifted their own goodie bag & snacks were provided during the day, as well as an amazing amount of nail & make-up knowledge! We can't thank the makeover room enough for wanting to take part. Staff were awarded their own 'Megan Hurley pin' for taking part in fundraising for our charity. To find out how you can get involved by starting your own fundraising & have the chance to get your very own 'Megan Hurley pin' then please click here. The Megan Hurley Foundation will aim to provide initial short-term help and support to self-employed families, unable to attend work (and therefore no income), due to the sudden and unexpected loss of a child. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for continuing to support the charity, keeping Megan's name alive.
