Today, over 50 men and women cycled from Manchester cathedral to Halewood Leisure Centre, in an incredible 32 mile bid to raise money for The Megan Hurley Foundation, and they did just that. The guys have already raised an incredible amount & we’re awaiting more! The cyclists commenced at 10:30am before arriving at Halewood at 3:00pm, with only ONE beer break. The atmosphere was electric as friends, family & local supporters rallied together to support eachother on the 32 mile stretch, along with footballing legend Jamie Carragher
The bike ride was organised by the amazing Charlie Cooper & although he didn’t cycle he was cheering them on the whole way! We can’t thank him enough for putting this amazing day together! A special shoutout to Clifford Blundell who couldn’t be there today as he is on holiday, yet still completed the 32 mile cycle in Turkey! Clifford also supplied the cyclists stunning yellow sweaters. Huge thanks to M&S Food, Morrisons, Alder Spring & Joanne Hurley for supplying food & drinks for the cyclists! As well as a massive thanks to Volair Halewood Leisure Centre for providing us with a room for the bikers to refresh as well as the swimming pool & Sauna to use after the ride! Each of the participants will be awarded their own Megan Hurley Foundation pin-badge to find out how you can get involved by starting your own fundraising & have the chance to get your very own 'Megan Hurley pin' then please click here.
